who we are
Merciful Hands is a Boston based nonprofit organization founded by Martha Garzón, who for more than 23 years has dedicated her life to serving children and families from Latin America affected by severe burns, complex illnesses, and congenital disabilities.
Grounded in compassion and faith, we provide holistic and personalized support with love, faith, and hope addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families navigating medical hardship far from home.
Our work focuses on vulnerable individuals who face language limitations and cultural barriers, ensuring they receive compassionate, culturally sensitive care that honors their dignity and unique circumstances.
Through partnerships with hospitals, restaurants, local providers, and volunteers, we make sure every family receives essential assistance such as transportation, nutritious meals, and emotional accompaniment while in Boston.
At Merciful Hands, we believe that every act of service restores dignity, strengthens resilience, and builds bridges of understanding across cultures. Our mission continues to connect those in need with a caring community committed to healing and hope.
