Our Mission

Merciful Hands is a Boston based nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive support to Hispanic children and families who have suffered severe burns, delicate illnesses, or complex congenital disabilities. Our mission is to reduce the social, economic, and cultural barriers that limit access to a complete and dignified recovery.

We offer humanitarian, emotional, spiritual, and financial assistance, as well as logistical support, including transportation, meals, and accompaniment for patients and their families, allowing them to focus on healing. We collaborate with hospitals, restaurants, local providers, and other organizations to promote equity, well-being, and hope among the Hispanic children and families we serve.

Our vision

We aspire to a future in which all Hispanic families in Boston and those who travel to the city seeking specialized medical care find support, guidance, and hope during the most challenging moments of their lives.

Merciful Hands seeks to establish itself as a model of comprehensive, inclusive, and culturally sensitive care, where hospitals, community organizations, faith leaders, and volunteers work collaboratively to ensure that no child or family faces the recovery process alone.

We firmly believe that compassion, collaboration, and equity are the pillars that strengthen our mission to build a sustainable network of support that transforms vulnerability into resilience, and need into real opportunities for restoration, wellbeing, and hope for the Hispanic children and families we serve.

“Restoring hope and dignity to Hispanic children and families through compassion, equity, and community support.”
